ABS, Capital Ship Management Corp. Improve Propulsion Shaft Monitoring with ABS Smart Bearing™ Solution

Innovative collaboration project sees first installation of system designed to improve shaft monitoring accuracy.

Athens, Greece, June 9, 2016. ABS, a leading provider of classification services to the global marine and offshore industries, and Capital Ship Management Corp. (“Capital”), a distinguished ship management company, have collaborated to install an advanced condition monitoring system on the propulsion shafting of the Capital managed vessel M/TAgisilaos, a 36,700 dwt, Ice Class 1A IMO II/III Chemical/Product Tanker, built in 2006.

Capital Ship Management Corp. takes delivery of M/T Atromitos

Athens, Greece, April 4, 2016. Capital Ship Management Corp. took successful delivery today of the newbuilding vessel M/T Atromitos from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. in South Korea. The M/T Atromitos is a 299,999 dwt, Crude Oil Tanker. It is one of two super-efficient new sister ships with eco-friendly design that were delivered in 2016.

Capital Ship Management Corp. takes delivery of M/T Alkaios

Athens, Greece, March 30, 2016. Capital Ship Management Corp. took successful delivery of the newbuilding vessel M/T 'Alkaios' from Samsung Heavy Industries (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. in China. The M/T 'Alkaios' is a 50,136 dwt, IMO II/III Eco Chemical/Product Tanker. It is the fifth of eight super-efficient new sister ships with eco-friendly design to be delivered between 2015 and 2016.

Capital Ship Management Corp. is Commended for M/T 'Agisilaos' Successful Rescue Operation by Republic of Marshall Islands

Athens, Greece, February 4, 2016. The Maritime Administration of the Republic of the Marshall Islands commended the Master, Officers and Crew of M/T Agisilaos, managed by Capital Ship Management Corp. ('Capital'), for the successful rescue of 220 migrants  on June 22-23, 2015 approximately 110 nautical miles off the southwestern coast of Greece.
